Help! I Am Stuck –
Sequential Illustration

This two-piece sequential illustration captures a small but powerful toddler moment — the struggle to take off a sock independently.

In the first image, the tension is visible. The toddler wrestles with frustration, while the mother is present but mostly out of frame — only her legs in slippers nearby. In the second image, the solution is minimal and gentle: just a hand slightly loosening the sock. No takeover, only support.

I intentionally shifted the background from a more intense tone to a cooler, calmer palette to visually reflect the emotional transition — from frustration to relief. This project explores independence, patience, and the subtle power of responsive parenting through simple visual storytelling.
